Philips DDL720FVP Face ID Smart Lock

The Philips DDL720-FVP-7HWS is a 7000 Series 3D face recognition smart lock that makes your face the key. Come within 1 metre of the door and a radar sensor switches on the dual front cameras. They capture your facial features in 3D and are designed to spot photos, videos and makeup used to try to fool them. There are five ways to unlock: face, fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card and mechanical key. It's available in Sky Grey and Gold.

When someone rings the doorbell, you get a notification in the Home Access App. Tap it to see your doorstep and talk through two-way audio. The voice changer lets you switch to a "Deep" or "Funny" voice when speaking to strangers. Indoors, a 4-inch LCD display shows who's outside without opening the door, which is ideal for seniors and kids. The radar also watches for anyone lingering outside and sends an alert to your phone. With a cloud storage subscription, encrypted snapshots and recordings stay available even if the lock is damaged.

The mechanical electronic mortise senses when the door closes and throws the deadbolt within 10 seconds. The app sends real-time alerts for tamper, armed mode, latch problems, system lock-out and low battery. A hidden PIN code stops people peeking at your code, dual verification adds a second layer of security, and the indoor quick-open handle gets you out with one turn in an emergency. If the battery runs flat, you can plug in a 5V power bank.
