The Philips DDL101SKJBB is an indoor smart lock from the Philips 1000 Series, designed around one idea: unlocking should require zero extra effort. The semiconductor fingerprint sensor is built directly into the door handle — as your hand grips the handle, your thumb naturally lands on the sensor. Upon successful verification, simply press the handle down and the door opens. No separate tap, no keypad, no extra step. Recognition happens in under 0.5 seconds, making it one of the fastest and most intuitive unlocks available for interior doors. The slim, ergonomic body is finished in obsidian black aluminium alloy, designed for rooms where aesthetics matter as much as access.

Two operation modes give it genuine flexibility. In general mode, the door requires fingerprint verification before the handle releases — ideal for bedroom or office doors where controlled access matters. In passage mode, the fingerprint step is bypassed entirely and the handle opens freely, saving time and battery during busy periods such as morning routines or open-office hours. Both modes switch between each other easily. For privacy from inside, the indoor thumbturn locks the door completely — once engaged, only a mechanical key can open it from the outside, keeping occupants fully protected. If 5 consecutive wrong fingerprint attempts are detected, the lock triggers an alarm and enforces a 3-minute lockout to deter unauthorised access attempts.

The DDL101SKJBB connects to the Tuya Smart App via Bluetooth, allowing remote unlock, battery level monitoring and operation log viewing from your phone. Power comes from 4 AAA alkaline batteries rated for up to 10 months of use. When batteries run low, a Type-C emergency power port accepts any standard power bank to restore entry without replacing batteries immediately. Compatible with swing doors from 30–60mm thick, suitable for interior doors, bedroom doors, office doors and similar indoor applications.
