The Aqara Smart Lock U400 KIT turns your phone into a proximity-based digital key. Powered by Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, it unlocks the moment you approach with an authorised iPhone or Apple Watch — no taps, no codes and no biometric checks. UWB reads your exact range and angle to understand your intent to enter, so the door opens precisely when you reach it and won't trigger if you simply pass by. As an Aliro-enabled lock, hands-free UWB access is set to extend to more devices over time.

This kit ships with the Hub M100 included — a Thread-enabled Matter controller that unlocks full remote access, remote periodic passwords and automations straight out of the box, with no extra hub to buy. Built on Matter over Thread, the U400 works by design with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings and Home Assistant. Add a home key to Apple Wallet or Samsung Wallet and tap to unlock with a phone or watch — even when the device is powered off.

Everyone gets their preferred way in: the built-in fingerprint reader opens the door in 0.3 seconds (up to 50 fingerprints, up to 98.6% accuracy), plus permanent, offline and scheduled passwords with anti-peep protection, an NFC card, voice control and a mechanical key backup. A built-in gyro sensor powers Auto-Lock on Close, while Night Latch and Do Not Disturb modes add peace of mind. The rechargeable Li-ion battery lasts up to 6 months and recharges via USB-C with a low-battery alert and an emergency charging port. BHMA certified, IP65 weatherproof (outer panel) and rekeyable, available in Silver and Black.
