The SECURAM V8 is a finger vein smart lock from SECURAM — a US-headquartered security company founded in 1991 and best known as the world's leading manufacturer of certified safe locks for banks, ATMs, and commercial vaults. The V8 brings that institutional-grade engineering philosophy to a residential door lock. Its defining feature is finger vein recognition — a biometric technology that reads the unique vascular pattern beneath the skin of your finger using near-infrared light. Unlike surface fingerprint scanners, it cannot be lifted from a surface, copied from a photograph, or defeated by a prosthetic. It works consistently across all ages, skin conditions, and hand states, making it the most reliable biometric access method currently available in a residential lock.

The V8 supports up to 30 finger vein users and 15 PIN codes, organised across Manager, Host, and Visitor user roles for clean, structured access management. The 6-digit PIN system includes a virtual password masking feature — enter random digits before or after your actual code to prevent shoulder-surfing without invalidating your code. An away mode disables the exterior handle entirely from the inside, preventing any unlocking attempt from outside when you are home. All access activity is logged, and the lock connects to the SECURAM app via Bluetooth for nearby management. For full remote access, real-time notifications, and internet-connected control from anywhere, the separately sold SECURAM Smart Hub adds WiFi connectivity.

The security construction is the closest thing to a vault lock available in a door lock form factor.
