The Philips DDL621-5HWS is a lever smart lock built to keep working in tough conditions. It was tested with the temperature switching between -25°C and 70°C and ran for more than 5 hours at each extreme without issue. Heat, humidity and dust don't affect it, which suits the Malaysian climate well.

There are six ways to unlock it: app, fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card, mechanical key, and the optional DDA006 remote, which works from up to 100 metres away. The semiconductor fingerprint sensor recognises a finger in 0.5 seconds or less, with a false acceptance rate of 0.001% or less. Built-in Wi-Fi connects the lock to the Home Access App. From the app you can unlock with one tap, check the lock status and access records, and send guests recurring, time-limited or one-time PINs.

The auto mortise locks the door as soon as it closes, so there's no need to lift the handle. Passage Mode lets guests walk in with a push, and the smile light shows when it's on. For extra security there are a hidden PIN function, dual-verification mode, armed mode and tamper alerts sent to your phone. You can also link it to another lock, so unlocking that one unlocks this one too.
