Philips DDL507-FV-7HWS 3D Face ID Rim Lock

The Philips DDL507T00BW (DDL507-FV-7HWS) is a 5000 Series 3D face recognition rim lock that you can open without touching anything. Come within 1 metre of the door and a radar sensor switches on the dual-lens 3D camera, which maps your facial features. It is designed to detect photos, videos and makeup used to try to fool it. It stores up to 50 faces, and once you're recognised the door unlocks with no buttons to press.

With dual-lock linkage, you set up a second lock in the Home Access App. When the DDL507 verifies you and unlocks, it tells the linked lock to open as well. If the linked lock supports latch retraction detection, the link works both ways. The dual-side fingerprint design puts a sensor on both the outside and inside panels, which helps stop anyone reaching through a door gap to open it from inside.

When someone presses the doorbell, a chime sounds indoors and the built-in camera sends video to your phone. From there you can watch live video and use two-way intercom. Lingering detection spots anyone loitering outside and sends clips or snapshots to the app. You also get alerts for armed mode, tamper, system lock-out and latch faults. From the app you can share one-time, recurring or time-limited PINs with visitors. Power comes from a removable 5000mAh rechargeable Li-polymer battery, and you can plug in a 5V power bank in an emergency.
