The First Alert 2096DF-BD Waterproof Fire-Resistant Safe is one of the most comprehensively protected home safes available — offering triple protection against fire, flood, and theft in a single unit. UL Classified for 1 hour at 1,700°F (927°C), it maintains an internal temperature below 350°F during a fire, keeping paper documents, passports, cash, and digital media fully intact. The exclusive Ready-Seal™ technology creates a watertight seal that keeps contents dry even when the safe is completely submerged — ideal protection against flooding, burst pipes, or fire sprinklers.

Unlike most fire safes, the 2096DF-BD has been independently verified to protect electronic media including hard drives, CDs, DVDs, and USB flash drives. Security is equally robust — 6 solid steel locking bolts and patented pry-resistant concealed Delta hinges resist forced entry, while the programmable digital lock accepts a 3 to 8 digit personal PIN backed by 2 emergency override keys. The safe can be bolted to the floor via pre-drilled holes while maintaining its full waterproof and fire-resistant rating — a feature unique to First Alert's Ready-Seal™ design.

Inside, 2 adjustable shelves, a hanging file rack, key rack, and door pocket make organisation easy. A built-in Handy Hauler handle and wheels make initial placement effortless. Backed by a 5-year limited warranty.

I did a lot of research before buying and this is the only so far in Malaysia that has fire and waterproof. Great value for long term use. First Alert is also a reputable brand from US.

The installer came on time and did a quick job installing the safe, professionally done from start to finish. Cleaned up after too. Highly recommended!

Bought this after my neighbour kena break in. Better to be safe than sorry right. The fire protection also good — 1 hour rating. Delivery and setup was fast, no complaints.
