The Sharp A3-B is the entry point into the Sharp smart lock range — and a deliberately straightforward one. No camera, no face recognition, no palm vein scanner. Just fast, reliable keyless access for homeowners who want the quality and engineering behind the Sharp name without paying for biometric features they do not need. The die-cast aluminium body with a textured wood-grain finish gives it a premium look that sits naturally on any modern front door, and the fingerprint sensor is positioned directly on the handle so scanning happens the moment you grip it.

Access is handled by fingerprint recognition, RFID card, PIN code, and a physical mechanical key as a final backup. A virtual password feature allows you to enter random digits before and after your actual code, preventing PIN exposure from observation. Combination unlocking lets you require two methods simultaneously for added security. A temporary password function makes it easy to grant time-limited access to guests, delivery personnel, or service providers without issuing a permanent credential — and just as easy to revoke when no longer needed.

All door opening activity is logged automatically via door opening records, and a trial error alarm locks out the lock after consecutive failed attempts to prevent brute-force access. A low battery alarm notifies you before power runs out. Powered by standard 4 × AA alkaline batteries — widely available and easy to replace anywhere — with no proprietary battery or charging cable required. Physical security is backed by a C-level lock cylinder resistant to picking and drilling. A push-pull type lock built on the engineering heritage of Sharp, a Japanese brand founded in 1912.
