The Kaadas K9-5W is the Wi-Fi-enabled version of one of Kaadas' most popular push-pull mortise locks — and the upgrade matters. Built-in 2.4GHz Wi-Fi means no separate hub or bridge required; just connect to your home network and you get remote access, a real-time activity log, and the ability to generate temporary PINs on the go via the Kaadas Smart app. It's the kind of convenience that actually gets used daily, not just set up once and forgotten.

The hardware is equally well thought out. The Sweden FPC fingerprint sensor — trusted by Google, Dell, and Lenovo — handles up to 100 prints with fast, reliable reads. The push-pull handle has a built-in touch sensor on the inside, so leaving the house is as simple as holding the handle — no button press needed. For households with a Kaadas gate lock, the K9-5W is Dual Unlock compatible with the R8-5KD, letting one fingerprint scan open both door and gate simultaneously.

Security layers are comprehensive without being complicated. Dual-verification mode requires any two credentials at once for higher-risk situations, while privacy mode locks out all external access when you need full indoor control. A fake PIN feature keeps your real code hidden from anyone watching, defense mode triggers an alarm if someone tries to open from inside while you're away, and lockout engages after repeated wrong attempts. Alkaline batteries power the unit, with a Micro USB emergency port as a backup if they ever run flat.
